For those of you who run mysql, there’s an issue that you have to look at. Like file systems, database tables get fragmented over time. There’s a simple fix for it, but you will need to execute one command to do it.
Of course, you will need to have root access to your Mysql server, but it will significantly speed up your mysql database.
Simply, one command issued as the following:
mysqlcheck -u root -p --auto-repair --check --optimize --all-databases
I would really appreciate that if this made a difference or you find this helpful that you donate. I’m really trying to support my family and while I have >1000 visitors a day (unique), I haven’t seen a donation in a while. It’d be nice to see that someone appreciates what I’m doing.
This should make a difference on all mysql databases that have been running for a while. As for WordPress users, it makes a huge difference.
