I sell products and services on my blog. These products and services pay my bills. The ultimate question is how much can one person sell or better yet, the better question is how much can one salesforce sell?
I’ve done extensive research into affiliate programs, but the best way to do things (at least as I’ve found is to simply implement your own.) When you sell through a paid affiliate program (like the big boys), they take a cut of your sales as well.
What if I told you that not only can I increase your bottom line revenue, but give you a rock-solid solution on selling your own digital products and services without having to share that extra commission without having to deal with paying an extra commission to an affiliate program reseller?
Is that worth it to you? The best sales-force is the consumer, the blogger, and the reviewer. The independent person who has nothing to gain or lose speaking and writing the truth.
These are the people you want to recommend your products. When I recommend a product, I’ve used it personally and can see the value proposition of a product. These recommendations do hold a lot of weight not because, I’m me, but because I’ve always been very honest and helpful with my product reviews. My posts are not so much product reviews as they are solutions to problems and just good advice I’ve gathered from my many years as a technologist / CIO / CTO / Consultant.
I create products and services that add value. So when it comes down to selling a product, consider creating your own affiliate program and Digital Goods delivery e-store.
After an insane amount of research (over 3 solid weeks @ 4-5 hours a day), I settled on a product from http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com
The products are called: wp-ecommerce, pdf-stamper, and wp-affiliates
The products themselves are rock-solid as I’ve been running the first two for a few months with a few thousand sales under my belt. I’ve never had a problem, in fact, not only are the products rock solid, but the support community and support from the developers are amazing.
I’m done testing my affiliate program and I’ll be launching that very soon for some of my products. The plugin literally handles everything. I literally do nothing.
My total net margin is simply: cost of product – whatever commission I decide to pay.
I don’t use an affiliate program intermediary, because it’s an extra commission to pay.
In other words, if you’re going to do something, consider the options. I, for one, love these products and on a scale of 1-10 I give them a full 10 stars for support, ease-of-use, and ability to manage the affiliates and products.
Here are the links to the products.
Thanks for finally talking about Affiliate Programs and what they mean to you as a seller of services and products Loved it!
