Posted on June 14, 2012 by Percy Kwong

I know firewalls and have definitely tested and worked with many appliances.  One of the most interesting and successful appliances out there seems to be the Alix board.  These boards are built on Cheap chipsets (VIA) and cheap processors (Geodes). So here’s my reaction to them. (I own 3). 1. If you’re going to use…

We all have the need to create pdf files at one time or another.  I used to use pdfcreator from sourceforge, but it seems as of the latest version, they’ve sold out. So this led me on a search for a new solution.  The solution is from bullzip.com and works really quite well. I would…

Posted on April 2, 2012 by Percy Kwong

It’s amazing how all the providers out there refuse to tell you who they’re connected to.  This is very prevalent amongst VOIP providers as well as quite a few SaaS providers.  You want to know who they’re connected to so you can make a decision on whether or not they’re going to be reliable. So…

[singlepic id=57]   This little tidbit is written for Redhat / CentOS, but with a little bit of work, the concepts and commands are easily modified for any flavor of linux. MailArchiva

Posted on March 12, 2011 by Percy Kwong

I decided I needed a good mail archiving solution and after looking long and hard, I found Mailarchiva.
