MailArchiva

Posted on March 12, 2011 by Percy Kwong

I decided I needed a good mail archiving solution and after looking long and hard, I found Mailarchiva. The community edition seemed promising, but after over 30 hours of troubleshooting, it’s pretty clear it doesn’t work. Sigh. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere. This is definitely not the solution.

The holy grail of business.

Posted on March 10, 2011 by Percy Kwong

So many people talk about their big hit. Well, I’ve decided there’s no such thing. Just get a job, start a company, and make enough to survive. More in a bit.

You have gotta be kidding…

Posted on February 9, 2011 by Percy Kwong

The White House on Tuesday said in a statement that it “does not object” to extending the three Patriot Act provisions until December 2011 although it “would strongly prefer” an extension until December 2013, noting that the longer timeline “provides the necessary certainty and predictability” that law enforcement agencies require while at the same time…

Companies and Businesses I choose not to use.

Businesses I would not deal with.

Encoding Your Videos My Way.

Posted on October 19, 2010 by Percy Kwong

So you have a shiny little device like an android, iphone, or ipad. You want to watch movies on it. The problem is, it just takes forever to encode the videos. That was always my problem, I hate encoding. It slows down your computer and pretty much renders it useless for other tasks and it…

Zuckerberg’s Donation to Newark

Posted on September 23, 2010 by Percy Kwong

OK.  Let’s be realistic.  I applaud you MZ for donating to Newark, god knows they need a break.  You want to fix the education system; I get it. Let’s talk reality though.  Newark needs to fix more than it’s Schools.  Let’s start with the Police force and the rampant Gang and Drug warfare. Donate it…

Nexus One, iPhone 3GS, Blackberry Bold 9000 and 9700, or Backflip? Which one is smartest?

Posted on July 5, 2010 by Percy Kwong

I’m a gadget geek.  More of a power-user who’s only interest in a device is the utilitarian value it provides me in my day to day life. This means I need a device that works well, is easy to use, and can survive the day-to-day rigors of a road warrior. I’d like to point out…

Solving the CO2 Problem

Posted on January 20, 2010 by Percy Kwong

Maybe I’m just pointing out the obvious, but the way to solve a problem isn’t just brushing it under the rug and making believe it’s not there anymore.  This seems to be what scientists want to do to help mitigate global warming.  Let’s just inject it into rocks and seal it underground! Uhm.. What nimrod…

BPO: Business Process Outsourcing or Big Problem Outcomes?

Posted on January 9, 2010 by Percy Kwong

Mass recession and unemployment. The problem can be summed up in three words; Business Process Outsourcing otherwise known as BPO. What exactly is it? It’s not just another business acronym, but a very serious problem and trend that continues to haunt not just America, but every other First World Economy today.

Gotta Love Microsoft..

Posted on January 8, 2010 by Percy Kwong

It’s funny when installing Exchange 2010 is infinitely more retarded and complex than installing Postfix, MySql, Courier, Spam Assassin, SquirrelMail, ClamAV and CentOS 5.3 with all the security and VPN goodies. I just did an Exchange 2010 install and it only crashed the server and mucked things up for no apparent reason 3 times!  Kept…
