Zuckerberg’s Donation to Newark

Posted on September 23, 2010 by Percy Kwong

OK.  Let’s be realistic.  I applaud you MZ for donating to Newark, god knows they need a break.  You want to fix the education system; I get it. Let’s talk reality though.  Newark needs to fix more than it’s Schools.  Let’s start with the Police force and the rampant Gang and Drug warfare.

Donate it to the police?  Not a particularly good use of the money.  How about just simply paying for a privatized security force to be utilized by the police?  Probably a better use of the money.  For one thing, there would be accountability.  You can’t fix the educational system and schools if the drugs and gangs are still in the schools.

Hint.. Hint..

What about the DEXT owners??Dext ws prisomed the 2.1 update in a facebook blaze of glory earlier in the year, and the community hve screengrabs showing it. Why screengrabs? because motorola pulled the status from their page and have completely backtracked on it.I’ve experienced thismotorola treatment from two sides now, my wife and her dext, and my own milestone and the oooh will we, won’t we,’ attitude they have had about upgrading the LOCKED BOOTLOADER milestone to 2.2Milstone the phone without compromise supposedly!I will give them their due, Motorola hardware is really nice, but their attitude to their customers stinks. They seem to be completely focussed on getting as many products to makret as possible (milestone, droid x, backflip, ip rated jordan phone, etc, etc) but then don’t giver a flying **** about their customers.I’ve just binned my milestone and got a Galaxy S ad I won’t be buying another Moto ever.Seriously, if you’re considering one, just trawl the owners forums for a while, and then remember the DEXT.
